TERMS & CONDITIONS

Thank you for your interest in SMC products. SMC firmly believes that education and information are of paramount importance when it comes to selling and using mountaineering and technical rescue equipment. Our customers are expected to have sufficient expertise and knowledge as it relates to the safe and appropriate use of mountaineering and technical rescue gear.  All customers accept the inherent risk associated with the use of such equipment and are responsible for their own actions while using SMC products.  All customers understand and accept the responsibility for obtaining proper instruction from a qualified training professional prior to use of any SMC product.

SHIPPING: Shipping charges are FOB, Ferndale, Washington. We ship orders UPS Ground, Hawaiian, Alaskan, Canadian, and international destinations not serviced by UPS Ground are shipped as specified by the customer. Domestic shipments may be insured at the purchaser’s expense if specified at the time of order. All international shipments will be insured at the purchaser’s expense. All losses and damages to shipments must be reported to the carrier at the time of delivery.

LIMITED WARRANTY: SMC products are warranted to the original retail purchaser in accordance with the full Statement of Limited Warranty printed on our web site, www.smcgear.net.  Items that are claimed to be defective must be returned under a pre-assigned Return Authorization/CC Number and should include a detailed description of the conditions existing during use of the item, the place and date of the original purchase as well as a copy of the original invoice or receipt.  Items being sent in for inspection may or may not be returned if the product in question is deemed potentially unsafe or non-functional.

RETURNS POLICY: Goods ordered are not subject to return unless defective. If we sent you the wrong item, or if you have received an item that appears to be defective, contact our Customer Service Department within 15 days of the date of the shipment and request a Return Authorization Number. All returned goods must be in new condition and shipment must be prepaid. Please include a complete description of the reason for the return.

WARNING: SMC products are for mountaineering, rock-climbing and/or rescue use only. Mountaineering, rock climbing and rescue are inherently dangerous. Any person involved in these activities must obtain qualified instruction of the proper use of these products prior to using them.Any person using these products is responsible for their own actions/decisions. FAILURE TO FOLLOW WARNINGS CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
