The SMC Grip is hands down the best rope grap on the market. As the newest member of the SMC family this rope grab designed to work with virtually any rope you have in your gear bag. Certified to Meet NFPA ''L'' - Light Use 5kN (10-12.5 rope diameter). Every component of this rope grab are meticulously hand-finished contributing to the smooth, free action that is the hallmark of all SMC gear. Each one is 100% hand-inspected for functional characteristics before leaving our factory.

NFPA “L” Light Use

Certified by Underwriter’s Laboratories to exceed the NFPA 1983 (2006 edition) “L” - Light Use requirement of 5kN.

The SMC Grip has the required certification information stamped on the frame and the user information is enclosed with each item as required by NFPA. Made in the USA
